Reign of Amenhotep IV/Akhenaten.
He is briefly mentioned in EA 170, one of the Amarna Letters sent by Tuppi-Tessup, the substitute ruler of Amurru, to his exiled father Aziru in Egypt. Abdi-Urash appears to have been a companion of Aziru during his stay in Egypt.
