The son of an important temple functionary. He visited Snefru's 4th Dynasty Meidum pyramid and left an inscription on the walls of its mortuary temple. In this graffito he dates his visit to "the 12th day of the 4th month of summer in the 41st regnal year of Thutmose III" and states that he found the pyramid "as though heaven were within it and the sun rising in it". Furthermore he "prays that the heavens may rain with myrrh and drip with incense upon its roof".
